Integrative Hatha Yoga is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which helps bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation. Yoga promotes physical, mental and spiritual development. This capacity to adapt spiritually allows the yogi to surmount feelings and situations that are unbearable to other people.
Yoga is: a Psycho-Physical-Spiritual education, art and philosophy of life that integrates together the three planes of human existence.
The yogi, like all people who practice yoga, learns to feel. He begins to understand and learn that he is not what he thinks or believes, nor what motivates him to act (physical changes of the body plus the things that surround him: actions). The yogi begins to understand that his spirit is what he feels. He begins to know that it is more important To Be than To Have.
Dr. Jorge Rodriguez is a knowledgeable professional. With a Bachelor degree in Philosophy with specialization in Ethics and a Doctorate in Health and Physical Education. Physical education professor, fitness exercise specialist, personal fitness trainer, martial arts expert, bodywork therapist and natural health consultant. Dr. Rodriguez is a Yoga Teacher from the International Yoga Federation. Disciple of Swami Maitreyananda, Yogacharia Estevez Griego, an internationally recognized Yoga Master who has conducted numerous yoga instructor training.
Dharmachari Swami Maitreyananda is the world president of yoga of INTERNATIONAL YOGA FEDERATION, and Honorary President of Yoga Fedeeration of India, Asian Yoga Federation and American Union of yoga.
Dr. Jorge Rodriguez has 5 years of formal training education as a Yoga professor since 1988 to 1992 and has practiced yoga for more that 35 years. He was the trainer ofactor Brad Pitt for the movie Seven Years in Tibet in 1997.
Dr. Jorge Rodriguez integrates in his classes the practice of yoga postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), deep relaxation andmeditation to balance and control the mind. Classes tend to be gentle, accessible, andnon-competitive.
